University Scholars Program
Eligibility
Business and accounting majors with a 3.25 or higher UF GPA are eligible to participate in the Warrington College of Business University Scholars Program. Students must meet eligibility requirements at the time of application. You must not earn your bachelor’s degree before Spring 2026. If you are in a Combination Degree program and will graduate with your undergraduate degree Fall 2026, you are not eligible to apply to the University Scholars Program.
Requirements
Students should begin working on the research project with their faculty mentor during the 2025 – 2026 academic year. University Scholars are required to enroll in the University Scholars course (GEB 4906) in the Fall and Spring semesters. Upon completion of the research project, students must write a properly formatted research paper and submit it to the UF Journal of Undergraduate Research or to another scholarly journal for publication. Also, students are required to present a poster detailing their research at the Undergraduate Research Symposium, which is held in March. To receive the University Scholars stipend ($1,750), recipients must successfully fulfill all program requirements. Please read Scholars responsibilities!
Note: The required research paper for the University Scholars Program can be used to fulfill the College honors thesis requirements.
