Who Are the Diplomats?
The Warrington Diplomats serve as the official student ambassadors for the Warrington College of Business by attracting high caliber prospective students, building community within the college, and empowering students to embrace what it means to be a business gator. This program is comprised of the top highly committed and motivated business students selected through a competitive application process.
As the College’s official ambassadors, the Diplomats provide numerous services, such as conducting tours, hosting special Warrington events and alumni cafes, facilitating Leadership Ventures, and interacting with employers. Through the Center for Career and Leadership Development, the Warrington Diplomats put on events to help business gators grow personally and professionally and get the most out of their University of Florida experience.
Schedule a Virtual Tour
During the fall and spring, Warrington Diplomats give tours for prospective students and other guests.
Due to COVID-19, all tours in fall 2020 will be held virtually via Zoom.
Becoming a Diplomat
The Diplomats recruit the most successful, committed, and highly motivated business students each year. This program targets Junior and Senior business students with a passion for helping other business students and improving the Warrington community. A Diplomat is expected to generate new ideas, participate in various events, and serve as a resource to other students while gaining valuable leadership experiences through the program.
Diplomats are selected through a competitive application process that consists of a written application, letters of recommendation, and a personal interview. Attending Warrington Diplomat events are a great way to meet current Diplomats and learn first-hand how the program operates.

Leadership ventures are unique out-of-the-classroom experiences to help connect business students to each other while teaching teamwork, leadership, and communication skills in a hands-on way. Ventures allow students to meet their peers, work in a group, and have fun. New ventures are introduced each year, while some past Leadership Ventures include a Sailing Regatta in St. Augustine, Iron Chef at Fat Tuscan, and Amazing Race: Gainesville.
At Leadership Beyond Freshman Year, several Warrington student organizations are present to inform students about upcoming applications and opportunities to get involved as a leader in the Heavener School of Business.
Taking place during the Warrington Diplomat application process, this event is intended to give applicants a chance to meet the Diplomats and ask questions about our organization. Open to all business students.
