With your business undergraduate degree (earned within the last 7 years) and a foundations review provided as part of our program, you will be able to delve into higher-level MBA classes sooner in our accelerated program option. The Online One-Year MBA is 32 credits versus the 48 credits in our two year programs. We recognize that you completed the core business courses during your undergraduate experience, and are therefore not requiring them to be repeated. The admissions team will evaluate your transcripts to ensure your eligibility, but we recommend you review our eligibility checklist to assess your candidacy.
If you have another graduate degree in business or a business minor, we recommend also reviewing the checklist. There is a possibility you have completed all the coursework necessary for this accelerated option.
A spotlight on our Experiential Learning Opportunities (ELOs):
Perhaps one of the most memorable experiences for our students are the Experiential Learning Opportunities, or the ELOs they participate in. Examples include on-campus courses, online business simulations, the Washington Campus, or a Global Immersion Experience (GIE).
Washington Campus
The Washington Campus is a non-profit, non-partisan, higher education consortium based in Washington, D.C. Students from the MBA program can enroll in The Washington Campus’ certificate graduate courses throughout the year and receive academic credits toward their MBA.
Courses focus on how specific organizations and industries are affected by public policy. Students learn face-to-face from policy makers and executives.
GIE
MBA students can register for a 2-credit course that meets in person and online over the course of the semester and includes a 7 to 10 day experience abroad.
Strengthen your understanding of global business by meeting with business executives from various industries. Learn the inner-workings of international companies in the country where they operate. Meet with scholars who study the region’s economy and political climate of the country. The cornerstone of each GIE is a consulting project. Experience cultural highlights specific to that part of the world. Recent GIE locations include: Hanoi, Vietnam, Prague, Czech Republic and Athens, Greece.
On-campus and online ELOs
Our on-campus and online ELOs give you the opportunity to study topical subject matter. A sample of previous coursework includes the study of Cyber and AI Governance in Business. Online ELOs include interactive, hands-on simulations.
