Global Experiences
The UF MBA Program offers opportunities to increase your global perspective in varying degrees of intensity and time commitments. Whether through our curriculum or an experiential learning opportunity, you will significantly increase your understanding of different cultures and their business practices.
Global Immersion Experiences
Increase your depth of knowledge by participating in a Global Immersion Experience (GIE). UF MBA students can register for a 2-credit course that meets in person and online over the course of the semester and includes a 7 to 10 day experience abroad. The cornerstone of each GIE is in-country business meetings where you learn about the company’s practices and unique environment. Participants will also have opportunities to network with students and experience cultural activities. Recent GIE locations include: Argentina, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, Ireland and China.
- Strengthen your understanding of global business by meeting with business executives from various industries.
- Learn the inner-workings of international companies in the country where they operate.
- Meet with scholars who study the region’s economy and political climate of the country.
- Experience cultural highlights of the area, such as the Great Wall in China and mosques in the U.A.E.
GIEs are open to all students enrolled in the MBA program. Students in the Full Time, Professional, or Online programs can select a GIE as an elective credit. For Executive MBA and South Florida MBA students, a GIE is a required component of your program. Please visit these program pages for more detail on global trips and requirements.

Note:
- South Florida MBA and Executive MBA Programs – Global trip is required as part of the academic program.
- Program Fee includes: hotel, ground transportation, domestic flights while in-country, several group meals, and site visit expenses.
Global Curriculum
Regardless of your program choice, you will significantly increase your understanding of different cultures and their business practices through our curriculum. From our various elective courses which focus in global management, finance, and marketing, you can determine to which level you’d like to hone your global knowledge.
UF Study Abroad and Exchange Programs
The Warrington College of Business has many partner institutions from which full-time MBA students may choose to study. Programs vary in length from one semester to a modular format similar to ours. Students who study abroad are able to select a variety of business courses and options depending on location. Students work closely with their academic advisors to develop a customized plan since careful consideration of the UF MBA curriculum and career planning is necessary to make a study abroad experience successful.
