About

Professor Koehler was a faculty member from 1974-1978 and then again from 1987-2012 when he retired and is now an Emeritus Professor.  He has published his work in Management Science, Information Systems Research, INFORMS Journal on Computing, and many other academic journals. He served as department Chair from 1990-1993 and again from 2008-2011. He taught programming courses, Executive MBA courses, and Ph. D. seminars including ones on quantum computing, support vector machines and genetic algorithm theory. Professor Koehler has also been a faculty member at Purdue and Northwestern Universities, has worked as a consultant and expert witness for a number of law firms, and was a co-founder of Micro Data Base Systems, Inc. where he served as CEO for the period 1981 - 1987.
