Monija is a dedicated professional with a substantial background in international education, bringing extensive experience in program development, academic partnerships, custom programs, international student exchanges, and leading semester and faculty-led study abroad opportunities. During her nearly 12 years at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, Monija played a pivotal role in various international and experiential learning initiatives, including student organizations, the student undergraduate research program, virtual and in-person global internships, global business experiences, global business fellows, as well as coaching and hosting international case competitions. She also co-directed the First-year Seminar (FYS) and led the Business Undergraduates Invested in Leadership Development (BUILD) program.
Monija also has a strong foundation in graduate program student services and enrollment management, and she was honored with the Ping Taylor Professional Fellows diversity grant in the fall of 2022. Her experience also includes working with students with disabilities, first-generation students, and those from under-resourced and underrepresented backgrounds.
In addition to her administrative expertise, Monija is passionate about teaching and mentoring. She has guided master's and doctoral students through their research theses and has taught courses in the administration of higher education, leadership and ethics, and qualitative research methods and design, among others. Her research interests focus on student access and affordability, particularly within the realm of international programs.
