A lot of lessons and challenges are emerging in our Analyzing Utility Finances in Times of Crisis LIVE! program. PURC’s director of energy studies, Ted Kury, and the participants have rolled up their sleeves on such issues as estimating financial impacts of the pandemic, what to do when data are limited, and how to measure financial needs.

Ted shared his thoughts on the lessons that are emerging in the program. He protected privacy and confidentiality of the participants, but shared the essence of how to address government pricing directives, bill payment challenges, affordability, changing demand, and the like.
