Weighted Average Cost of Capital


This zoom-based workshop will focus on derivation of the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) for regulated utilities. We will discuss the various considerations for deriving WACC including priorities and practices. We will also analyze the various models used in the estimation of WACC, their inherent strengths and weaknesses, and potential remedies for weaknesses.

In this workshop you will learn:

  • Importance of WACC parameters such as risk free rates, beta, and equity risk premiums
  • Estimation methods for parameters used to derive WACC
  • Available data sources for determination of WACC

Public Policy for Big Tech


Big Tech companies have created substantial changes in how people communicate, gain information, engage in public discourse, create businesses, etc. Almost every facet of life. How should governments respond? What from the past should be protected and what needs to change for citizens to take full advantage of the new opportunities? This course provides insights into how Big Tech works, the changes the companies represent, and how governments can respond.

Workshop Structure

Each three-hour workshop will be delivered virtually through Zoom meetings.

This is not a self-paced course. Active participation in the Live Zoom session is required.
