Current Student Resources

Kim Jenny

As a student-athlete at UF, I realize the importance and power of networking and professional development on and off the field. I’ve been developing my networking skills with the numerous events & communicating with very supportive advisory board members. The MSRE program prepares candidates with all the tools necessary within the professional industry. This program really emphasizes on “It’s not about who you know…but who knows you”.

Registration Information

Most Hough Graduate School of Business (HGSB) courses are taught on a modular basis. Only use the UF Schedule of Courses for non-HGSB courses, since it does not show modular information. A two credit hour modular course meets for four hours a week for half of the UF semester. Modular courses are offered in the first and second half of the Fall semester and the first and second half of the Spring semester.

Students and the Bergstrom Center

Students are at the heart of what we do here at the Bergstrom Center and our MSRE program. Students look to the Bergstrom Center for guidance, industry-specific resources, job placement advice, as well as a general information hub. The Bergstrom Center works hand-in hand with academic advisors and the university to support those in the program. Our active involvement provides a premier educational experience for UF students.

Mentorship from High Level Real Estate Industry Leaders

Each MSRE student is paired with several professional mentors, who are current members of our UF Real Estate Advisory Board. Mentors provide students with career counseling and advice throughout their stay at UF and beyond. In addition to mentoring by the high level real estate industry leaders who populate our Real Estate Advisory Board, MSRE students also have the opportunity to meet MSRE Alumni “Peer Mentors”, who are working in real estate and responsive to students’ questions about the real estate industry and job search strategies.

Distinguished Speaker Series id="speaker-series"

The Alfred A. Ring Distinguished Speaker Series, funded via an endowment in honor of Dr. Alfred A. Ring, brings 10-12 prominent industry professionals to campus each year to speak to and interact with UF faculty and MSRE students. Industry leaders from across the country have come to Gainesville to share their insights on the trends and transactions that are shaping the real estate industry.

Real Estate Society id="real-estate-society"

The Real Estate Society serves current UF undergraduate and graduate students by connecting them to leading industry professionals. Members & guest meet monthly to discuss the diverse field of real estate, and in the process, creates a community of like-minded individuals who are focused on learning, creating meaningful relationships, and developing professionally.
