Scholarship Opportunities
Society of Real Estate Professionals
The Society of Real Estate Professionals is pleased to offer an annual scholarship to eligible full-time undergraduate or graduate level students who are pursuing a career in real estate with the intent to relocate to Tampa Bay after graduation. The scholarship is currently available to students admitted to or attending the University of Florida, Florida State University, the University of South Florida, the University of Tampa, the University of Miami, Clemson University, or the University of Central Florida. Since the scholarship’s inception in 2018, SOREP has awarded $80,000 to 33 students!
Applications for the 2022-2023 SOREP Scholarship are now open until April 30th, 2022.

Who is DF Capital Management?
DF Capital Management (DFCM) founded in 2018, is an investment management firm specializing in single-family residential land with total assets under management of over $300 Million since inception. DFCM invests to provide finished lots to homebuilders for the construction of entry-level housing across the country.
DF Capital Management is seeking a summer intern to join our team! We are looking for a person who possess exceptional financial modeling skills and an entrepreneurial drive to accomplish new challenges in a team environment.
Summary of Position:
The primary role of the Portfolio Analyst – Summer Intern is to assist with data entry, due diligence assistance, tracking, and maintaining the investments of DF Capital Management. This role offers a unique opportunity to make an immediate and consequential impact on the development of the real estate platform.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial Modeling
- Assist with overall management of the portfolio through cash flow analysis and projection
- Deal and loan closings
- Loan Maintenance
- Investor communications
- Marketing
- Record Keeping
Experience, Skills, Knowledge:
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Relevant work experience is preferred
- Comfortable presenting ideas and solutions to leadership and key business partners
- Strong attention to detail
- Critical thinking/problem solving
Physical Demands:
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. Vision abilities required by the job are close vision. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle, feel, and operate office equipment such as a computer, copier, and office supplies.
