Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Access (IDEA)

What IDEA means to us

The student experience at the Warrington College of Business is much more than earning a degree. It prioritizes belonging, respects all backgrounds and ideas, and equips students to think for themselves.

Business Gators from all backgrounds come together in the classroom, in student organizations and across campus to create meaningful change in the business world.

Because our differences strengthen us. They widen our perceptions, they challenge our thought process and they help us grow.

At Warrington, our students are the priority and they are celebrated for who they are. Every single one.

Inclusion

The Warrington College of Business seeks to create an environment that values unique perspectives to make sure voices are heard, appreciated and respected at all levels of the Warrington community, including faculty, staff, students and alumni. Each member of the Warrington community should always feel appreciated and included at all times. An inclusive appreciation of each member of the community goes beyond just presence but extends to providing the necessary and equitable resources needed for all individuals to thrive and be successful.

Diversity

The Warrington College of Business strives to reflect the diverse representation within our society and beyond. This includes, but is not limited to, the representation of various identities throughout the fabric of the Warrington community, such as race, gender, ethnicity, sexual identity, socioeconomic status, citizenship, ability, religion, age and veteran status. Warrington actively acknowledges and affirms these identities and understands that such identities shape an individual, community and organizational lens.

Equity

The Warrington College of Business seeks to level the playing field that has systemically created unequal barriers to many members of our society. Warrington is committed to actively pursuing knowledge to be aware of and, accordingly, dismantle barriers that may impact the success of Warrington faculty, staff and students from diverse backgrounds. This commitment manifests itself in the constant pursuit, acquisition and application of resources to support historically underrepresented groups while a part of the Warrington College community.

Access

The Warrington College of Business builds on the commitment of equity to ensure that all members of our community have access to the benefits that the Warrington community offers. This can be seen and felt through the policies created and programs offered at Warrington, as well as by ensuring Warrington leadership provides access to all resources that help members of the Warrington College community succeed in and out of the classroom.
