BABA General Studies Specialization: Education Studies

The Education Studies (ED) area of specialization provides students with an understanding of the purpose and function of education and the social and psychological forces that affect young people. For career information visit the UF Career Connections Center.

Requirements

In order to pursue this area of specialization, students must have applied for the Education minor. Students are required to have a minimum of four classes totaling 12 hours from courses listed below and must maintain a minimum 2.0 area of specialization GPA. Minor Option

A minor is available in this area of specialization. To complete the minor students must earn 15 credit hours, and complete courses from at least 4 of the 5 sections, with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. You can find out more about the Education Studies minor in the Undergraduate Catalog.

Students must apply for the minor after 45 and before 100 credits earned. Students must obtain approval from their college on the Application to Add or Cancel a Minor before submitting the form to EduGator Central Student Services, 1002 Norman Hall, for approval.
