The Power of Positive Mindset

This week Retail You! welcomed guest speaker, CJ Pisieczko, director of talent acquisition for Bealls. He spoke about the principles of a positive mindset and how to focus on the positive during different situations. CJ spoke about how positivity is the realization that we possess the ability to be the change. He mentioned how he is often told he is lucky and while he would agree he believes luck comes when you increase your efforts. CJ emphasized that we should all strive for excellence and not perfection and a great way to do this is to focus on your strengths and not your weaknesses. The presentation had students engaged in critically thinking about what mindset they take for different situations and how to pursue possibilities positively.
