Walgreens Executive Visits UF

On October 5th, The Retail Society welcomed speaker, Sarah Milford, Director of Pharmacy and Retail Operations at Walgreens. Sarah also serves as the regional chair for the Women of Walgreens business resource group. Business resource groups are groups of employees who come together with common interests, perspectives, and experiences around topics such as ethnicity, gender identity, age, accessibility, special interests. During her presentation Sarah spoke about what it means to be a strong woman in the workplace. She gave advice about how to connect with business resource groups that may exist at your future company and ways that you can get your name into conversations that matter. Lastly, Sarah spoke about mentorship and how to select a mentor that will give you meaningful input and opportunities throughout your career.
