Sales & Retail Career Mixer

On Tuesday, Sept 28th, the Retail Center hosted a Sales and Retail Mixer that allowed students to meet with hiring directors from big-name retailers such as Macy’s, Lowes, Bealls, and so many more. The mixer was hosted on Wonder, an app similar to Zoom that allows a character of yourself to navigate a “room,” striking up conversations with employees and students alike. It gave attendees an “arcade-like feel” that allowed for open dialogue between parties, and gave a new way to communicate professionally. Although the in-person event was missed, this served as a suitable alternative. We can’t wait for next year!
