MSM students are eligible to participate in any of the Hough Graduate School study abroad opportunities at one of our 30 foreign partner universities. Studying abroad can be an exciting experience giving students an opportunity to expand their global horizons and obtain an international component to their degree. Students who study abroad are able to select from a variety of business or related (international affairs, law, and more) courses and selection depends on where students go to study. This enables students to tailor the MSM program to a specific area of interest. Students should be aware that this could potentially delay their graduation a semester; however, short term summer options are also available to avoid interference with MSM courses. Study abroad programs vary in length:
- Summer: 1-5 weeks
- Fall/Spring: 3-6 months
MSM/MIB Dual Degree Option
If an MSM wishes to do a longer study abroad, we recommend that the student apply to and pursue the Master of International Business as a dual graduate degree. This will ultimately prolong the attainment of the master’s degree but will provide a well-rounded and international business education. Interested applicants should refer to the Graduate Dual Degrees page.
