Leadership Development Program

Leadership is a process rather than as a position

At Warrington, leadership isn’t about titles — it’s about impact. The Leadership Development Program empowers you to learn to lead through authentic relationships, shared purpose, and collaborative problem-solving.

Grounded in the Generative Partnership Model of Leadership, the program invites undergraduates to develop the skills and mindset to co-create change, foster trust, and grow alongside others. Whether you’re collaborating with a team, launching an idea, or seeking to become a more thoughtful leader, through this experience you will explore the principles of leadership and followership.

What you’ll learn

In the Leadership Development Program, you’ll focus on learning skills through weekly team meetings then how to apply them in a Leadership in Action project.

Leadership is working with others to achieve a common goal

Leadership is collaborative

Leadership is value-based

Service is a powerful vehicle for developing leadership skills

What you’ll do every week

First semester

Weekly Team meetings with your small group and team leaders to engage with the facets of the Generative Partnership Model of Leadership

In collaboration with teammates in your small group, you will select an organization, identify a specific challenge within it and work with the stakeholders to develop a solution.

Second semester

You will select an organization, identify a specific challenge within it and collaborate with its members to develop a solution.
