About the Full-time MBA degree
Leadership in the present looks a little different than in past decades. Today, engagement and adaptability win over audiences and motivated teams. And throughout, technical agility and creativity signal your readiness to grow and unveil game-changing strategies.
Observing who employers hire and listening to our advisors, Warrington designed the Full-time MBA to hit these touchstones:
- Electives/concentration: Select from up to 75 elective courses which can align with your individual goals or fill knowledge gaps that enhance your competitiveness in the career search. Take a more holistic approach, or you can focus in a specific discipline with a concentration. After starting the program, your dedicated academic advisor and career coach will work with you to develop an academic plan that best suits your goals.
- Never a number: Network and discuss business concepts with a cohort of bright, determined peers and faculty thought leaders. For a preview, the typical Full-time MBA candidate arrives with four years of work experience, a 615 GMAT score, and a 3.4 undergraduate GPA. The average GRE score of applicants is 315.
- Watch your network take shape: Recruiters from some of the largest national and global companies recognize what a University of Florida MBA offers. This is your chance to show what you’ve achieved and get your name out there for internships and full-time job opportunities.
- Data and AI integration: Try out the cloud-based and AI-powered data analytics tools professionals use to design marketing campaigns, budgets, portfolios and supply chains. You’ll learn their languages and applications and prepare to evaluate these technologies for your future employer.
- Optional experiences: Explore business operations in another location — whether in the U.S. with the Domestic Immersion Course, overseas with a Global Immersion Experience or study abroad trip. You can also earn credit in Washington, DC, through our partnership with the Washington Campus.
Scholarships and tuition assistance
An MBA is one of the most significant moves you’ll make in your career. But advancing your skills is just the beginning: You’re positioned to lead large-scale initiatives for future employers and have access to an expansive alumni network.
Warrington couples these benefits with tuition and debt that’s far lower than you’ll find among our competitors. We also offer multiple ways to fund your degree:
- Scholarships: The University of Florida Warrington College of Business extends 100% and partial tuition scholarships and merit awards to competitive students. These awards make our Full-Time MBA program more accessible and account for time away from the workforce.
- Military benefits: Make the transition to civilian life or enrich your knowledge as a current service member with an MBA from a top 10 Military Friendly School. For more information about using the Post-9/11 GI Bill® and other benefits, read about UF’s process for military tuition assistance or email Gus Kreatsoulas.
One-year vs. two-year MBA programs at Warrington
We recognize what you bring and support your professional and personal growth through a choice of formats:
- One-Year MBA (All Majors): Whatever you studied as an undergraduate, this accelerated track propels your professional standing by front-loading core courses and pairing them with electives. You’ll cover the same topics and receive the same depth as students in the two-year program at a faster, more intense pace.
- 10-Month MBA (Business Majors): If you have the undergraduate credential, this accelerated one-year MBA program breezes past the basics during a summer introductory semester before letting you steer the direction of your studies. This thorough, rapidly paced format lets you fulfill all requirements in just 10 months, so you enter recruiting season sooner. Applicants need to have obtained a business degree within the last seven years from an AACSB accredited school
- Two-Year MBA: This immersive experience integrates extensive career and professional development into a program ideal for those seeking a career change. Along with taking the standard core, two-year candidates begin electives in their first semester and complete an internship between their first and second years.
- Combination MBA programs: Business skills give all types of career paths a boost. These joint programs, offered entirely through Warrington or our partnerships with other UF schools and colleges, recognize these benefits and allow you to pursue Full-time MBA coursework alongside another credential. Explore all combination MBA programs.
Please note: Each Full-time program format starts once per year. The business majors program starts every June, the all majors program starts every May, and the Two-Year program starts every August.
All Full-time MBA program formats involve at least a 40-hour-per-week commitment that includes class time, assignments, and career and professional development activities. We also encourage all students to participate in for-credit and co-curricular programming to enhance their technical training and apply recently acquired concepts, regardless of program requirements.
