PURC Regulatory Training Program for Sector Regulators of Panama

Utility professionals from Panama studied competitive electricity markets and case studies, transmission access, expansion and interconnection during this week-long course. Session topics also included congestion management, market design for energy and ancillary service markets, environmental and siting issues related to generation and transmission.
PURC specifically designed this course for Panama's sector regulators. This course was a continuation or follow-up to the October 2000 infrastructure course in Panama City, Panama. In addition, two telecom training programs were delivered in February and March 2001, as well as a water sector training program in March 2001.
