Young Entrepreneurs for Leadership and Sustainability (2007-2016)

YELS Summer Luncheon 2016
Young Entrepreneurs for Leadership and Sustainability Gator Chomp in the Swamp

The UF Young Entrepreneurs for Leadership & Sustainability (YELS) summer program gave college bound high school students the opportunity to live, work, eat, and play on the campus of the University of Florida for four weeks each summer while learning about entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship, being inspired to solve social problems, and practicing sustainability. We empowered students to become leaders and changemakers.

For 10 summers, from 2007 – 2016, YELS ran and impacted the lives of 374 high school students. Please read our infographic about the impacts we’ve made over those ten years. Due to the generosity of our many supporters and friends, we are able to offer scholarships to students who would otherwise be unable to afford this life-changing experience.

YELS is now on hiatus as we focus on growing UF’s Social Impact & Sustainability Initiative for undergraduate & graduate students.

Contact YELS to be added to our email list and stay in the loop, we promise not to overwhelm your inbox, we’ll just send updates a few times a year, and we will give you a heads up when we launch a new summer program for high school students.
