Shane C. Van Deree currently serves as the Director of Student Experience for the entire portfolio of nine MBA program formats at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business. In his role, Shane is responsible for the strategy and management of engagement initiatives within the Campus Engagement, Signature Events, and Student Engagement areas. The focus of these areas is to communicate, connect, and engage students virtually, on- and off- campus in Gainesville, and in major markets, allowing students feel a sense of community and belonging no matter where they are, build their network, and be exposed to various industries.
Since joining Warrington in 2017, Shane has served in various roles, providing him with the unique opportunity to collaborate with all functional area teams in the MBA program. This has allowed him to develop experience in the full student lifecycle, prospect engagement to alumni relations.
Prior to Warrington, Shane held positions across the University of Florida in program marketing, admissions/recruitment, student services, academic affairs, and alumni relations. Shane received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Florida.
