Bernadine Thomas, a Chicago native, joined the Undergraduate Business Career Services team in 2018. Before joining Career Services she was an Academic & Career Advisor for five years with the Heavener School of Business as a Finance and Information Systems advisor. She earned her undergraduate degree in Communications from Chicago State University and her Master’s degree in Adult Education from National Louis University. Bernadine has over 15 years of experience working in the private sector (recruitment and management) for Kelly Services before her career change to higher education where she worked at DePaul University in Chicago as Assistant Director for the School for New Learning graduate program and then in Student Affairs in the Office of Adult Student Affairs, a one-stop resource center for the adult, commuter, transfer and veteran student populations. In 2016, she earned her certification as a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF). Choosing a career path can be daunting since there are so many career options.
