Hello, everyone! Welcome to the Heavener School of Business, and I'm so excited to have the opportunity to engage with you.
As the director for online programs I have the pleasure of working with many current and prospective students in the virtual space by way of teaching, advising, and coaching. Having worked at UF for over 10 years in areas such as academic advising, crisis management, and conflict resolution, I have engaged with many students at varying stages of their college career. My hope for you all is that you recognize that me and my team are willing and able to meet you where you are and help you to the best of our ability.
With degrees in Biological Sciences (B.S.), Higher Education Administration (M.A.), and Educational Technology (Ph.D.) I recognize what it takes for our students to succeed across varying subjects. And with experience in taking and teaching online classes I recognize the virtual space as one to be unique and exciting, providing us with opportunities to connect and engage in ways that aren't possible in live settings.
Through my research on students with disabilities I've learned that success looks very different for each and every student. My goal is to make sure that you all have the tools to succeed and develop relationships with the friendly HSB staff and administrators who can show you how to use them. UF can feel huge and competitive, but connecting with us, hopefully, makes it feel much more comfortable and accessible.
