Cheryl Aasheim is a clinical associate professor in the Information Systems and Operations Management Department in the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida. At her prior institution, she won the college wide award for teaching and the college wide award for service, each on two occasions. She also was awarded recognition as the outstanding graduate teaching assistant at the university level as a master’s student in mathematics at the University of Florida. Cheryl's research interests are in the areas of online consumer reviews, text analytics and financial technology with a focus on solving practical business problems. Her teaching interests include text analytics, data analytics, data mining, programming and database. Cheryl earned her PhD in Decision and Information Sciences from the University of Florida in 2002. In addition, she has master's and bachelor's degrees in mathematics from the University of Florida. She is a member of the Decision Sciences Institute. She serves as an associate editor for the Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education. She also serves on the editorial review boards of the Journal of Computer Information Systems and the Journal of Information Systems Education.
