The Altman Cos., a division of BBX Capital, plans to create a vibrant mixed-used apartment community with the aim to help revitalize the downtown area of Davie, Florida.

Altman will build Altis Davie, an apartment complex with a retail component, on a four-acre property it controls after finalizing a purchase contract with Davie and Davie’s Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA).

Slated to open in early 2025, Altis Davie will have 286 units, ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartment homes. It will include a parking garage and an array of amenities: multiple landscaped courtyards with water fountains, bocce ball courts, an outdoor pavilion with barbecue grills, an outdoor fitness area, dog walks, and a resort-style swimming pool.

Altman worked closely with Davie officials on the project, which will be located adjacent to the Davie Arena at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds and within walking distance of the new Davie Town Hall Complex under construction. In conjunction with the project, Davie will implement roadway improvements that include brick pavers, new sidewalks and streetlights.
