Impactful research

Rapidly evolving technology, market shifts, and changing demographics present monumental challenges for business schools. Yet the best response to present forces may come from the past — drawn from the doctrine of the land-grant mission.

Seeding future success

The original land-grant mission of higher education focused on agricultural sciences to support a burgeoning U.S. economy, and these disciplines are still integral to our state and national progress. But the economy today is much more diversified, and business schools need to play a lead role in shaping the future.

And key to that is research. The Warrington College has some of the best faculty in the world and they prepare students to evolve and adapt whether it’s to catastrophic supply chain disruptions, the future of work, or the opportunities posed by artificial intelligence.

But it’s Warrington faculty’s rigorous, scientific research that tests which management practices work, or don’t, and this is what informs decision makers in government and industry. Warrington’s focus is bringing that research and expertise to businesses across the state and nation.
