MBA alumni highlight the power of Warrington’s reputation
When choosing an MBA program, a school’s reputation can signal program quality to employers and open doors to competitive careers and opportunities. At the University of Florida Warrington College of Business, 75% of students entering the MBA program said that Warrington’s reputation was the most important determining factor when they chose to apply to the program.
Read the stories of recent MBA graduates as they explain how they have seen the program’s reputation impact their outcomes firsthand.
Moataz Soliman, MBA ’26
“When I decided to transition from engineering into business and management consulting, pursuing an MBA felt like the right next step,” Moataz Soliman (MBA ‘26) said. “Warrington stood out to me because of its strong national reputation, high return on investment and powerful alumni network. Even with the two-hour drive from Orlando to Gainesville every third weekend, I knew I was joining the top MBA program in the state and one of the highest-recognized programs nationally.”

Through Warrington’s MBA program, Soliman gained the professional credibility to pivot from engineering to management consulting in the Big Four firm PwC. Through his coursework, he bridged his technical expertise with business strategy, allowing him to communicate more effectively with business leaders.
Soliman shared that the program and reputation exceeded his expectations. He expected strong academics, but he noted the program’s practical value outside the classroom. The strong student and alumni network, level of student engagement and support from staff and faculty reinforced Warrington’s well-rounded education and strong professional outcomes.
“What makes Warrington’s MBA reputation stand out is the combination of academic quality, career support, affordability and network strength,” Soliman said. “The program offers the credibility of a nationally recognized university while also creating a very personal and supportive student experience. Warrington is known for strong outcomes, but what stood out to me after joining was how committed the program is to helping students grow in a practical and meaningful way.”
Taylor Smith, MBA ’25
“Warrington’s reputation heavily influenced my decision to enroll at UF,” Taylor Smith (MBA ‘25) said. “As a non-Florida native, I asked around within my professional network, and almost everyone told me, ‘You have to go to Florida.’ The strength of the Warrington name and the respect had for the program made the decision very clear for me.”

Smith said the program exceeded his expectations, especially through his participation in the MBA Summit Series. Through the series, Smith visited companies and gained firsthand exposure to industries and leadership teams.
“Some of my closest friends from high school and undergraduate studies completed MBA programs elsewhere,” Smith said. “When comparing experiences, many of them struggled to articulate how their programs impacted their careers or personal growth. In contrast, my experience at Warrington provided tangible, memorable experiences that clearly differentiated the programs from others I had seen or heard about.”
Smith has also found that Warrington’s reputation has strengthened his own.
“The Gator Nation is absolutely real,” Smith said. “Even as a current student, I quickly realized how extensive and supportive the network truly is. Shortly after completing my MBA, I transitioned to a new employer that places significant value on advanced degrees, and being associated with Warrington has strengthened both my professional credibility and my reputation as a business leader.”
Laurie Newcomb, MBA ’26
“What originally drew me to Warrington’s MBA program was the strength of the University of Florida brand, the reputation of the Warrington College of Business, the value of the program compared with other MBA programs, and the quality of the curriculum and faculty,” Laurie Newcomb (MBA ’26) said. “Reputation was an important part of my decision because I wanted a program that would challenge me academically while also being respected in the business community.”
The MBA program helped position Newcomb for an elevated sales role and future leadership opportunities in the medical sales industry. She currently works in biopharmaceutical sales at Tarsus Pharmaceuticals, where she supports the growth and execution of prescription eye drop product XDEMVY in the ophthalmology and optometry markets.

“Having a Warrington MBA has strengthened my professional reputation by showing colleagues, leaders and industry peers that I am committed to continued growth and development.”
The program’s format allowed Newcomb to earn a degree from a reputable university while continuing to work full time.
“I was able to earn the same respected University of Florida MBA [without] feeling that the quality of the coursework or experience was compromised,” she said. “For working professionals, the program offers a strong return on investment because it combines a respected MBA brand with practical learning that can be applied immediately.”
Newcomb described her participation in the Global Immersion Experience in Santiago, Chile, where she studied international business outside of a traditional classroom setting, a highlight from her time in the MBA program.
“I am grateful for my Warrington MBA experience because it challenged me professionally, personally and intellectually,” Newcomb said. “I would tell prospective students that Warrington’s reputation is well deserved, but the true value of the program comes from how much you choose to engage. The coursework, faculty, classmates, alumni network and experiential opportunities can have a meaningful impact if you take advantage of them.”
