Erica Studer-Byrnes serves as the Assistant Dean and Director of the Heavener School of Business at the University of Florida Warrington College of Business. In this role, she oversees the undergraduate program, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching educational experience for nearly 5,000 students. Her responsibilities include strategic development, alignment, execution, and oversight of the five departments in the Heavener School of Business: Academic & Career Advising, Experiential Learning, International Programs, UF Online Business program, and Administrative Operations.
With nearly 20 years of experience in program management, academic advising, career coaching, career development, teaching, and curriculum development, Erica has significantly contributed to the advancement of the Heavener School. She has been recognized for excellence in advising, having received the University of Florida Advisor of the Year award, and for administration with national recognition as the “Outstanding Academic Advising Administrator” from the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA).
Erica's dedication to student success extends beyond administrative duties. She has a robust background in experiential learning and has taught graduate courses in education, focusing on career search self-efficacy and career development. Her research has been featured at notable conferences, including the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management.
A proud Quadruple Gator, Erica holds a BA in Philosophy, a BS in Psychology, an MA in Education, and a Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education, all from the University of Florida.
