Natasha Plunkett joined the Master of Science in Information Systems and Operations Management department in 2019 as the Associate Director of Academic Advising. In 2021, she became the Director of Academic Advising, and her outstanding contributions were recognized in 2022 when she received the Division III Superior Accomplishments Award at UF.
Originally from Lake Worth, FL, Natasha relocated to Gainesville in 2004 to pursue her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Family, Youth and Community Sciences in 2008, followed by a Master’s degree in Higher & Post-Secondary Education from Argosy University in 2012, and her Warrington MBA in 2019. Additionally, she obtained certification as a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016.
Natasha began her career with the University of Florida in August 2008 and joined the Warrington College of Business in August 2013. As a seasoned higher education professional, her expertise lies in enrollment management, including recruitment and admissions. She has actively contributed to advising initiatives for a broad range of student populations—including first-time in college (FTIC), transfer, graduate, online, and international students. Additionally, Natasha has served as a Preview Advisor for UF's new student orientation program since 2014. Her advising philosophy challenges students to adopt a holistic approach to their academic journey by engaging in transformational experiences that shape their future.
