Dr. Valeria Marcia is a Lecturer of Digital Marketing Analytics at the University of Florida, holding a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from the same institution. Before her academic career, she worked as a lawyer, specializing in the intersection of law and technology.
During her Ph.D. studies at the University of Milan-Bicocca, completed in 2021, Dr. Marcia had the opportunity to visit the London School of Economics, Harvard, and the Queensland University of Technology. To further enhance her expertise, she completed the MIT Computational Law Course in 2019 and 2021, expanding her understanding of this emerging field. Dr. Marcia's research contributions have been published in reputable outlets, including Oxford, and her work has been cited by organizations such as NATO.
Furthermore, Dr. Marcia was among the four finalists at the UF AI Days Competition and among the Sweet 16 at the UF Big Idea Competition, with an AI venture that combines machine learning and natural language processing to assist lawyers in finding the right customers within a legal web community while providing legal information.
