CEI Ambassadors
Who We Are
The CEI Ambassadors is a group of University of Florida students that are gathered to promote entrepreneurship to the university and throughout the community. We accomplish this with the sponsorship of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation.

Projects and Activities
Entrepreneur in Residence
Each semester an exceptional entrepreneur is honored for their accomplishments. For a period of one week, the Entrepreneur in Residence becomes invovled with UF students and faculty through lectures and special events. The Ambassadors are given an opportunity to meet with the Entrepreneur in Residence and host a lunch time discussion group during their stay.
Young Entrepreneurs for Leadership & Change Summer Program
As of this past summer, we have started the Young Entrepreneurs for Leadership & Change program which is a summer program for high school students at the University of Florida. This program allows high school students to take classes, do community service, go on field trips, attend activities, events, and workshops, and live, eat, and play on the campus.
Bucholtz High School Business Plan Competition
We work with Bucholtz High School and their entrepreneurship program to help the students learn how to write a business plan. We eventually judge their business plans, and some even move on to compete in the annual Howard J. Leonhardt business plan competition.
Semester Projects
The bulk of our activities come from our semester project which we decide on as a group. Last semester we decided to tackle on the task of forming a proposal for an entrepreneurship major at the University of Florida. This semester we have decided on a First Year Florida business plan competition, a student workshop on a range of topics, and organizing a local mentorship program.
GTEC Consultancy
In our effort to provide experiential learning, we have created the GTEC Consultancy project, which allows students to apply what they are learning in the classroom in a real world start-up company. The Ambassadors are working in conjunction with the Gainesville Technology Incubator to bring all UF students the unique opportunity to work at the ground level with Gainesville's most promising start-up businesses. This semester-long experience enables participants to put into action the skills they have acquired, gain real world experience, and work directly with local business leaders.
Social Activities
This organization also has many social activites. We have internal social activities within the organization such as a BBQ, bowling, Ale House, etc. We host external social activities with other clubs around the campus also. Each semester we have a golf tournament with the Ambassadors, CEI faculty, and local entrepreneurs.
The Business Cup
Every semester UF student business organizations compete in a one day athletic tournament featuring sports such as tug of war, kickball, and flag football. The organization with the best team earns the right to take home the CEI Ambassador Business Cup.
Friday Breakfast with an Entrepreneur
Throughout both the fall and spring semester, CEI and the Ambassadors host a monthly Friday morning Breakfast with an Entrepreneur at the CEI headquarters in Stuzin 255. By attending these events students are able to learn from and interact with entrepreneurs directly.
