Warrington’s impact grows across the Sunshine State
Warrington continues to strengthen business hubs around Florida.
As a land grant university, the University of Florida’s mission to support the state has always been in place. Warrington is partnering with the university to go directly to the state’s workforce and grow its companies during upcoming UF expansions into Jacksonville and Miami.
The Jacksonville workforce is already thriving with a rapidly growing healthcare campus at UF Health Jacksonville, a large military base at the Naval Station Mayport, a strong fintech industry with multiple thriving companies, a logistics leader in CSX, an insurance giant in Florida Blue, and a cutting-edge leader in Johnson & Johnson Vision. Warrington’s Jacksonville location will be closely located to each of them, allowing us to be part of the local business community because of broad support and direct involvement from some of the most prominent companies in Jacksonville.
The south Florida involvement is similar. Warrington has hosted graduate programs in Miramar or Sunrise since 2004, but we’re now moving those programs to the heart of Miami’s downtown financial district.
“The future of business education is where the companies are, and we’ll have prime real estate to participate in conversations as a member of these communities while also expanding opportunities for our students,” said John Gresley, Associate Dean for Master’s Programs and Executive Director of MBA Programs. “We are going to where the people are to play a role in developing these hubs.”
Warrington’s Part-Time MBA program, which consistently ranks in the top 20 publics, will shift its home base to Jacksonville, where a master’s in management with a focus in AI will also be offered. In Miami, Warrington’s Part-Time MBA in South Florida will be hosted in the new facility.
The shift also provides a strategic advantage for Warrington’s graduate programs. No matter where Florida residents live, there is a program nearby.
If you live in south Florida or Jacksonville, there’s a program in your backyard. If you’re in central Florida, you can travel to the Miami or Jacksonville programs or make the short drive to Gainesville. And if none of those fit your ideal plan, Warrington’s top-ranked Online MBA program can serve your needs from anywhere in the world.
“You’re never that far from a physical campus right now to engage face-to-face with our team,” Gresley said. “We’re always looking for ways to leverage that throughout the state.”
As the #1 ranked university in the third most-populated and one of the fastest growing states, the possibilities for impact will only continue to grow.
