MSM Student Spotlight: Blake Cox

Blake Cox (BA Political Science ’25, BS Agricultural Education and Communication ’25, MSM ’26) is completing his graduate business degree this summer, and will continue his education at the University of Levin College of Law.

Q: Tell us about yourself.

Cox: “My name is Blake Cox, I am from Winter Park Florida, and I was very involved in Student Government in my time at UF, serving as the Student Body President, Senate President and Senate President Pro-Tempore.”

Q: What was your undergraduate major, and why the MSM program?

Cox: “I was a double major student in undergrad, and I graduated with degrees in Political Science and Agricultural Education and Communication. I chose the MSM program because I wanted to round out my professional knowledge and the program was recommended to me for its incredible flexibility and faculty.”

Q: What is your favorite thing about the MSM program, and how has the program helped you professionally?

Cox: “What I like the most about the MSM program has been the practical experience I have gained from it. The classes on finance, negotiation, and consulting were incredibly insightful and have given me essential skills that I will use for my entire professional career.”

Q: What are your plans after you’ve graduated?

Cox: “Upon graduation, I will be attending the University of Levin College of Law!”

Q: What is your advice to other undergraduate students looking at the MSM program?

Cox: “One piece of advice I would give to undergraduate students looking at the MSM program is to get to know your classmates! In the MSM program you take classes with many of the same people so you can all learn and study together, which makes the experience so much better!”

Q: Tell us a cool fact about you.

Cox: “One cool fact about me is that I just got married to my high school sweetheart!”
