Our team uses a content calendar to keep our storytelling on brand and completed in a timely manner. We highly encourage you to share your potential news with us as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly and confirm we have space on our content calendar. The earlier you share, the more we can do.

Any ideas submitted are not guaranteed to be produced. Our team prioritizes content submitted in a timely manner and is in line with our messaging and brand strategy.

Sharing your research insights and expertise can help elevate your academic reputation and help the college attract positive recognition. Below are some of the ways we can position you as a trusted expert and connect your work to real-world impact.

How you can work with us:

  • Share your upcoming research and presentations for a potential news story and/or social media coverage. We recommend you share your research once it has been accepted for publication but not yet published, as this is the most significant time for journalists. For any presentations, please share the details at least two weeks in advance.
  • Post about your academic activities on your professional social media accounts. Tag Warrington on LinkedIn, X or Instagram in your posts so that we may engage with and elevate your content.
  • Submit your work to the UF Research Promotion Initiative (RPI) for possible selection to receive national media promotion of your work and $1,000 in research funding. Please review the submission requirements and tips for the RPI before you submit your research. Should you decide to submit your work to the RPI, please let Allison Alsup know.
  • Share your expertise on a timely news topic in an Op-Ed either written by yourself or with the assistance of a journalism professional.
  • Provide your insights to the media by listing your areas of expertise in the UF Experts Guide.
  • Participate in media training to help you prepare for interacting with the media.

If you’d like additional information on any of these opportunities, please contact Allison Alsup.

Sharing the work your program or center is doing to support students or research activities can attract media attention, assist with our enrollment efforts and bring positive recognition to the college. Below are some of the ways in which you can work with the Warrington MCS team to elevate your program, center, initiative or other student activities.

  • Share your upcoming events for a potential news story and/or social media coverage. We recommend you share your idea prior to any event or deadline so that we can plan for content accordingly.
  • Share new opportunities, programs, activities or initiatives that reflect innovation and excellence for a potential news story and/or social media coverage.
  • Share any activities that you believe have been done exceptionally well or had exceptional outcomes for our students, especially those tied to student career or internship placements.

Submit your idea via our project intake form
