Why earn an online master’s in entrepreneurship at Warrington?
It’s time. Time to transition that side hustle into your 9-to-5. Time to take your burgeoning business to the big time.
It’s time to enroll in the University of Florida Warrington College of Business’ Online Master of Science in Entrepreneurship program.
We designed this degree to upend the typical graduate business education: affordable, asynchronous classes blended with in-person experiences reflect a reality where actions and practices matter more than theories.
In class, you’ll see where principles and practices intersect, and Warrington’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center opens its facilities and events to you.
You can also enter a competition or secure a microgrant to access up to $200,000 in funding, and head into the midst of startup culture with our Silicon Valley trip and our connections to Gainesville’s startup ecosystem.
The Online MS in Entrepreneurship is a degree program made by doers, for doers like you — looking for informed direction, mentorship and the resources to push your venture forward.
And our online format, pioneered over two decades ago with our MBA, also means you can take courses from wherever you are whenever it’s time to advance how you do business.

About the online master’s in entrepreneurship degree
Anyone can set up a business anywhere. So why shouldn’t you be able to access a realistic, ready-to-implement business education from anywhere?
The online master’s in entrepreneurship degree program functions as your roadmap. Courses introduce you to the full business creation and development pipeline: identifying opportunities and potential risks, procuring and optimizing resources, creating value from your product or service, and adapting to and holding strong through difficult periods.
Warrington structures the program as a one-year intensive educational experience but allows part-time flexibility for students to manage various obligations. For inspiration and someone to bounce ideas off, you’ll be mentored by small business, high-growth-enterprise, socially responsible and investment professionals.
In addition to the fully online classes, we invite all Online MS in Entrepreneurship students to take advantage of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center’s programming and resources to connect, find funding, and grow. Listen to a TEDxUF talk, meet area entrepreneurs at Start-Up Hour or utilize the Blackstone LaunchPad network for additional coaching, contests, and workshops.

What to expect in the online master’s in entrepreneurship program
Whether you enter through our combination pathway, earn a joint degree, or directly start the Online MSE program, this is what’s in store:
- Zero classes are held on campus, and courses typically use an asynchronous format. Essentially, you can complete your master’s around your schedule, as it’s convenient for you.
- Courses are structured for Launchers — moving your venture to the next stage, complete with access to the Hatchery — or Innovators, with the goal of encouraging growth from within a larger enterprise. As all types of businesses evaluate their ecological footprint and community support, dive into these topics further with the Impact Entrepreneurship Initiative.
- You’ll participate in three field experiences: startup coaching, launching a business, and the Silicon Valley Program. These activities tie closely into the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center’s programming.
- You’ll develop an entrepreneurial portfolio that illustrates what you’ve learned and how far you’ve advanced your business.
