Call for papers

We are delighted to invite accounting researchers from all accounting Ph.D. granting institutions within Florida to submit manuscripts to the tenth annual Florida Accounting Symposium (FAS). The FAS’ objective is to facilitate the interaction of accounting researchers (especially junior faculty and doctoral students) and the exchange of research ideas across Florida. The University of Florida, Florida State University, University of Miami, University of Central Florida, Florida Atlantic University, and Florida International University take turns hosting the annual FAS. This year’s conference will be hosted by the University of Miami on September 25-26, 2026, in Coral Gables, Florida.

Manuscripts in all areas of accounting research are welcome. The 2026 FAS submission deadline is July 26, 2026. Please submit manuscripts via email to Roman Chychyla. Papers will be selected by the Program Committee, and submitting authors will be notified of the committee’s decisions no later than August 16, 2026.

Both accounting faculty and doctoral students from accounting Ph.D.-granting institutions in Florida are invited to attend the conference. While preference is given to manuscripts coauthored by junior faculty and doctoral students, we also encourage active participation in the conference by senior faculty. Registration before September 1, 2026 is required but no registration fee is charged. The conference will start with lunch at noon on Friday, September 25, and end right after lunch on Saturday, September 26.
