John Schomburger, a post-doctoral fellow with the Financial Accounting Standards Board, and Allison Hinaman, a post graduate technical assistant and recent UF alumna, are this week’s guests. This week’s presentation will be on Zoom. They’ll cover the role of the FASB and why accounting standards are necessary, what goes into the standard setting process, career opportunities at the FASB and why they decided to work there, and the effect of globalization on accounting standards.
