Yuchen Liu is an assistant professor in the Information Systems and Operations Management Department in the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida. She received her Ph.D. from University of Washington, Seattle. Prior to joining UF, she worked as an applied scientist at Amazon. Yuchen’s research centers on the economics of digital consumption on community-based online platforms, from two perspectives. Along the first perspective, she leverages structural modeling techniques to examine the impacts of IT-enabled platform designs on users’ intertemporal behaviors and their underlying decision-making processes. Along the second perspective, her work extends to studying how the spread of information among these users is affected by information attributes as well as platform interventions. She applies econometric modeling techniques to tackle the questions in these fields.
