I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with my Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer Science with an emphasis in Personal Finance and Masters of Science degree in Consumer Behavior and Family Economics. I also earned my Masters in Family, Youth & Community Sciences with a concentration in Nonprofit Organizational Leadership from the University of Florida. One of my crowning achievements is co-founding a program with UF/IFAS Extension called the Florida Master Money Mentor Program, which serves low income populations with a volunteer financial coach to improve their spending, saving and credit management.
My background is in Financial Planning and have worked for Fortune 500 Companies such as MassMutual, AXA Advisors, and LPL Financial. The majority of my professional training and development has been with Registered Investment Advisory firms acting as a Fiduciary to clients. I maintain the Series 65 license as an Investment Advisor Representative, State of Florida insurance license and Enrolled Agent designation with the Internal Revenue Service for private practice.
I believe my experience in higher education and financial planning provides an informed perspective on helping business students form a strategic plan for graduation and for their future career.
