Hello, Online Business Student!
I am the admissions advisor for the UF Online Business Program and an academic advisor for students whose last name begins with L-R.
I am a quadruple Gator-I completed a bachelor’s degree in history, master’s/specialist degrees in Counselor Education and a Ph.D. in Criminology at UF. Prior to my current role, I served as a counselor to at-risk youth, a victim advocate, an educational program director at a county jail, an assistant professor in the Criminal Justice Program at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Clare, and an academic advisor for AA degree seeking students at Santa Fe College in Gainesville. As you can see from my educational and career journey, my interests and goals have changed over time. A common thread throughout my experience is that I enjoy helping people address obstacles and identify strengths to achieve their academic, career, and personal goals. Advising is a very rewarding career and I love what I do.
As the admissions advisor for our program, I evaluate student applications and answer questions of potential students about admissions requirements. Completing a college application can be daunting, and it is my goal to make the process as transparent as possible. I will address any questions you might have to determine whether our program is the right fit for you and about program admissions requirements. As your academic and career advisor, I’ll provide you with the information and support you need to be successful in our program and to help you identify and work toward your career goals.
If you'd like to discuss your academic or personal progress or career goals, or if you need administrative help, feel free to email me at kristen.benedini@warrington.ufl.edu or call me at (352) 273-0593. I look forward to working with you!
