Emre M. Demirezen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management at the Warrington College of Business Administration, University of Florida. He currently serves as the elected vice president of the Production and Operations Management Society, which is responsible for the Middle East and Africa. He is also a Senior Editor at the POM journal. He received his Ph.D. in Information and Operations Management from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. He also holds an M.S. and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. His research interests include platform participation and dynamics, the economics of health information technology, health information exchanges, physiological modeling, value co-creation, open-source software, digital supply chains, and recommender systems. His research has been published in journals such as Management Science, Information Systems Research, MISQ, and Production and Operations Management.
