Welcome to the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida!
I am excited to share with you the many opportunities that await you in the Heavener School of Business as an Online Business student. I have been part of the School as an undergraduate, graduate student, advisor, and now as the director of the online program, enrollment and data management. As the Director of the Online Business Program and a seasoned Gator, I look forward to working with you and helping you on your journey toward academic and career success.
I was born and raised a Gator so it is no surprise that I’ve made Gainesville my home. I am originally from Tampa, Florida but spent many summers in Gainesville at Grandma’s house. As a student I was involved with the Honors Program, Peer Mentoring, Intramurals, and Project Mascot which connects college students with elementary students in disadvantaged schools. I was privileged to have the opportunity to mentor peers and to serve as a role model for aspiring young students. I personally know the rigors of balancing work and school as I am currently completing my PhD in Education Technology.
At this junction in my academic journey I have completed a BSBA in Economics, a MA in Economics, and a MEd in Student Personnel in Higher Education, all from the University of Florida. My passion for education is grounded in research, problem solving, a desire to do things better, student success, and reaching out to those most in need. Before returning to the Heavener School of Business as the Director of the Online Business Program, I spent the last four years in instructional design and faculty professional development. And before that I was an advisor and career coach in the Online Program, and in my first advising role at UF I spent four years advising on-campus business majors.
I encourage you to be disciplined with your studies and take advantages of the resources available here at the University of Florida.
You can reach me via email or by appointment (call 352-273-0165 to schedule). My office is located in 333 Heavener Hall and if you’re in town, I look forward to meeting with you here.
