
Dr. Shu He's research generally seeks to understand the economics of information systems (IS), with an emphasis on the impact of emerging technologies on firms and society using econometric analysis, machine learning techniques, and randomized field experiment tools. Specifically, her current research interests focus on social media, digital platform, and societal implication of IT. Her research has appeared in premier academic journals, including Information Systems Research (ISR), MIS Quarterly (MISQ), Production and Operations Management (POM), Journal of Management Information Systems (JMIS), and Decision Support Systems (DSS). Her research has been supported by National Science Foundation Award on Secure & Trustworthy Cyberspace and NET Institute grant. She also receives ISS Gordon B. Davis Young Scholar Award in 2022.
Dr. He has served as Cluster Chair and Associate Editor at Informs Annual Meeting and International Conference of Information Systems (ICIS). In 2020, she received the Best Reviewer Awards at ISR. She also serves as a member of ISR Editorial Review Board and an Associate Editor for POM special issue on Social Technologies in Operations. She is also the president and the treasurer of the INFORMS e-Business cluster in 2022 and 2021, respectively.
Before joining Warrington, Dr. He was an Assistant Professor in the Operations Management and Information Systems at School of Business, University of Connecticut. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
