Billy Gilchrist

Gilchrist was named Senior Vice President – Originations at Peachtree Group, a leading commercial real estate investment firm overseeing a diversified portfolio of more than $8 billion. In this role, Gilchrist will be responsible for originating commercial real estate and hotel investments across Peachtree’s lending platform.
Gilchrist brings more than a decade of leadership experience in finance, real estate and hospitality to Peachtree. He has a proven track record in executing large-scale acquisitions, new construction and capital improvement projects totaling more than $400 million. His expertise spans debt structuring, capital raising and asset management, making him a strong addition to the firm’s credit platform.
Before joining Peachtree, Gilchrist served as chief financial and investment officer of ARK, where he oversaw investment strategy, financial planning and operations. Previously, he held senior executive roles with Hotel Development & Management Group where he was instrumental in driving the company’s development pipeline, acquisitions and investor engagement. Earlier in his career, he held positions with Insight Credit Union and BB&T, managing credit portfolios and small business relationships.

Elder joined Chainalysis Government Solutions in March as a vice president responsible for overseeing the company’s go-to-market strategy.
Chainalysis Government Solutions helps U.S. defense, intelligence, law enforcement and civilian agencies disrupt criminal operations by conducting cryptocurrency investigations and providing advisory, analysis, cybersecurity and data engineering support.
Before Chainalysis, he was managing director of global and U.S. public sector at Box, where he led the go-to-market strategy for public sector customers in the cloud content management category.
The U.S. Air Force veteran previously served as defense and national security innovation and readiness leader at Deloitte Consulting and as director of strategic initiatives and business development for the government and public sector at Apple.
His government career included time as a partner at Defense Innovation Unit Experimental and executive assistant to the vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Finn serves as Vice President of Acquisitions and Capital Transactions at Monday Properties, a real estate investment firm and industry-leading multifamily developer.
Since joining Monday Properties as an intern in 2018, Finn has earned five promotions and has played a pivotal role in eleven office and multifamily acquisitions, totaling $847 million in value across 2.8 million square feet. She plays a significant role throughout all phases of the firm’s acquisition process, which includes the multifamily, commercial office and life science asset classes. She is integral during the initial underwriting and due diligence, as well as the capitalization and closing process.
Most recently, Finn has played a key role in Monday Properties’ expanding multifamily platform, focusing on the acquisition of value-add assets in high-growth markets. She supports the acquisitions process through hands-on asset management and helps oversee capital improvement initiatives across the newly acquired properties.

Sowers has been named Associate Vice President for Business Affairs at the University of Florida. Sowers joins UF from the University of Central Florida, where he served as Assistant Vice President of Business Operations.
At UCF, he oversaw several auxiliary operational units for budget administration and third-party contract management. His expertise will help UF’s Business Affairs division review and guide revenue and operations strategies, develop and implement policies and procedures, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement across operations.

Prior to joining Visit Orlando, Megginson worked with The Dollywood Company and Universal Orlando.
Besides his contributions to Visit Orlando, Megginson became the captain for the Keenes Crossing chapter of All Pro Dad, a nonprofit “that helps chapters create monthly gatherings at schools where dads and kids engage in meaningful conversations and activities that strengthen their relationships,” according to the news release. He also has served as a volunteer soccer coach for Winter Garden Soccer’s Under 8 team as well as a parent volunteer at the Foundation Academy to support the school’s basketball team.

Laura Pichardo and Abel Alvarado

Pichardo (MBA 2021) and Alvarado (MBA 2021) are founders of Fragaria, New Zealand-style ice cream. The plant-based, unique dessert is made by blending premium vanilla ice cream with real fruit, using a special machine that produces an airy and velvety texture.
While pursuing their MBAs during the pandemic, Pichardo and Alvarado learned to make ice cream. After moving to Seattle after graduation, they discovered a special market for the treat. Later returning to Florida, their business idea came to life 10 months ago as Fragaria.
They were recently featured in the Orlando Sentinel to rave reviews by the newspaper’s food and dining reporter.

Bondada was appointed Vice President of Investor Relations at StandardAero, a leading pure-play provider of aerospace aftermarket services for fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft.
In this new role for StandardAero, Bondada will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive investor relations function and program. He will take the lead in maintaining effective relationships with the investment community and ensuring consistent and timely communication of financial results for the company. Bondada will report to Dan Satterfield, Chief Financial Officer of StandardAero and will be located at the company’s Scottsdale, Arizona headquarters.
Prior to joining StandardAero, Bondada served as Vice President, Investor Relations, Corporate Strategy and U.S. Corporate Development for Lilium Aviation, where he also served as interim CFO prior to its recent privatization. Bondada has more than 15 years of experience in equity investing at several U.S. asset management firms such as First Manhattan, Balyasny Asset Management and Lord, Abbett and Co. Prior to his buy-side career he spent five years in investment banking and sell-side research at Royal Bank of Canada and Macquarie Capital.
His investment specialty has primarily focused on the aerospace and defense sector in addition to global industrials, transportation and materials. Bondada also worked for Lockheed Martin and Honeywell Aerospace.

Larry Pitcher
MBA ’11
Pitcher was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Kincell Bio, a leader in cell therapy development and manufacturing. He brings extensive experience in the advanced therapies Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) space, having had P&L responsibility, deep operational experience including facility expansions and key leadership roles.
Most recently, Pitcher was VP and GM for Catalent’s Gene Therapy Sites in MD, their largest operation, which accounted for a significant share of the company’s annual revenue. While at Catalent, Pitcher scaled commercial manufacturing and operations, enhanced customer satisfaction, and drove double-digit growth in both revenue and profitability while expanding both clinical and commercial programs. Previously, Pitcher was at Thermo Fisher where he established a growing presence in advanced therapies across a network of sites including a new mRNA business in Italy, a cell therapy business and clinical and commercial microbial and plasmid DNA services in the U.S. Earlier in his career, Pitcher was GM and site head for Brammer Bio’s viral vector business, general manager at RTI Surgical’s German and French operations, and held various operational roles in Florida.

Robert Bell

Bell retired as President of Tennessee Tech University in 2012, and now serves as President Emeritus, working with University Advancement and regional economic development. He also serves as Chairman of the regional Industrial Development Board, on the Board of First National Bank of Tennessee, and the Board of the Society for Advancement of Management. Bob (from Cocoa, FL) and his wife Gloria (a Perry, FL native) recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Eric Blanco

Blanco was promoted to Senior Vice President of Accounting at Codina Partners. Blanco previously served as Vice President of Accounting. In his new role, Blanco will oversee all accounting operations for Codina Partners, utilizing his extensive accounting experience to help the firm navigate complex real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Codina Partners, Blanco served as Principal for The Carlyle Group, a global investment firm with $376 billion of assets under management globally. In his role, Blanco was responsible for leading global accounting and tax for Carlyle’s aviation practice, which manages $11.2 billion in assets globally and has offices in Miami, Dublin and Singapore. Blanco led a large multinational team delivering accounting and tax compliance, global valuations, capital budgets, and investor reporting to various commingled investment vehicles and managed platforms.

Richard W. Cope | BSBA ’64 | 2025 | Cope, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed on April 8. A proud University of Florida alumnus, Rich earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with honors in 1964 and remained deeply engaged with UF throughout his life, supporting the Fixel Institute, funding a tennis scholarship, and serving on the Real Estate Advisory Board. A visionary leader in real estate, Rich led major expansions at Merrill Lynch and Prudential, eventually building one of the nation’s top independent real estate firms. Known for his strategic mind, generous philanthropy, and unwavering mentorship, Rich left a lasting impact on countless individuals and institutions. He is survived by his beloved wife Jill, three children, four grandchildren, and will be remembered for his kindness, leadership, and enduring Gator spirit.
Michael W. Shiver Sr. | BAA ’70 | 2025 | Shiver, of Belle Glade, Florida, passed on March 24. After graduating from Belle Glade High School, he completed his studies at the University of Florida, where he shifted from a dream of farming to a career in accounting. He founded Shiver & Company, PA, serving the Glades community with integrity and professionalism for over 50 years. Known for his calm demeanor, thoughtful advice, and dedication to his clients, Mike was also passionate about hunting, fishing, and NASCAR. He is survived by his wife Janis, their children and grandchildren, and will be fondly remembered as “Big Mike” by all who knew him.
John K. Bradley Jr. | BSBA ’75 | 2017 | Bradley, of New Smyrna, Florida, passed on February 26. An accomplished University of Florida graduate, Ken dedicated his career to education as a school administrator and was known for his kind spirit and strong Baptist faith. He loved reading, westerns, surfing, and cooking, but found his greatest joy in spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Connie, five children, 14 grandchildren, and other beloved family members.
Shirley Uricho | 2025 | Uricho, of Amery, Wisconsin, passed on April 11. Shirley Ann Uricho, 92, passed away on April 11, 2025, surrounded by family. Known for her gracious spirit and timeless class, she graduated Phi Beta Kappa from St. Olaf College and later worked in Christian education before moving to Florida. There, she worked for Sunny South Aviation and eventually built a life in Fort Lauderdale with her husband, Robert Uricho Jr., while supporting his work at the University of Florida and co-founding SunAir Electronics. A longtime member of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, Shirley was devoted to service and community. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, warmth, and adventure cherished by her large extended family.
Nicholas J. Cassino | BSBA ’92 | 2025 | Cassino, of Jupiter, Florida, passed on February 28. An honored University of Florida graduate, Nick earned his business degree in Gainesville and was a lifelong Gator fan. He owned Cassino Construction, Inc. and was known for his larger-than-life presence and devotion to family. He is survived by his son, Nicholas Riley Cassino, also a recent UF graduate, and many beloved relatives and friends.
John H. Graham Jr. | BAA ’62 | 2025 | Graham, of Largo, Florida, passed on January 3. A Korean War veteran, John earned his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida before building a long career as a CPA and partner at Harper, Van Scoik and Co. in Clearwater. He was deeply involved in civic life, serving on numerous boards including the Salvation Army of Clearwater and Morton Plant Mease Healthcare Foundation. A dedicated member of First United Methodist Church of Clearwater, John was known for his leadership and service. He is survived by two children, a granddaughter, and extended family.
Victor E. Jarvis | BAA ’67 | 2025 | Jarvis, of Savannah, Georgia, passed on March 12. A graduate of the University of Florida, Vic played on the Gators golf team before becoming a CPA and later serving as CFO of BellSouth’s long-distance division. He was deeply involved in his church and community, serving as a deacon and ministry leader at First Baptist Church of the Islands. Vic won numerous senior golf championships and was known for his 13 holes-in-one and a rare double eagle. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joy, their two sons, and four grandchildren.
Angela L. Rasnake | BSAC 2012 | 2025 | Rasnake, of Interlachen, Florida, passed on March 17. An accomplished graduate of the University of Florida, Angela earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2012 and was an avid UF Gators fan. She worked for over 20 years at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital and enjoyed outdoor activities like fishing and camping. Angela was deeply devoted to her faith, participating in weekly Bible study at Francis Baptist Church. She is survived by her two sons, Johnny “Michael” Rasnake II and Brett Aaron Rasnake, and her two grandchildren, Preston and Bradley.
Reed Rollins | BSBA ’50 | 2025 | Rollins, of Bradenton, Florida, passed on March 15. A University of Florida graduate, he served as a U.S. Navy aerial gunner and radioman during WWII, flying dive bombers from the USS Randolph and USS Lexington. He worked for General Finance Corp for 20 years and owned a commercial orange grove in Lee County for 25 years. Reed was married twice, first to Ann Renee Browne, who passed in 1985, and later to Jane Rooks, who passed in 2018. He is survived by his children Rhonda Cohen-Katzenberger, Ronald B. Rollins, and Risa R. Moore, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and stepchildren.
Michael C. Stump | BSBA ’78 | 2025 | Stump, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed on March 1. An honorable graduate of the University of Florida, Michael was known for his leadership in high school sports and his entrepreneurial spirit, managing multiple businesses throughout his career. He was deeply involved in his church, United Brethren in Christ, and dedicated much of his life to helping others through Christian-based recovery programs. Michael was also a talented musician, producing three Christian albums and leading worship at his church. He is survived by his wife, Jeanie, son Michael (Ashley), mother JoAnn, and sister Ann (Richard).
Christian J. Legue | BSBA ’74 | 2013 | Legue, of Sebastian, Florida, passed on December 13. A graduate of the University of Florida, he had a long career as a communications engineer in fiber optics at AT&T. Christian was a member of the Society of Engineers and the Moose Lodge in Sebastian, FL. He is survived by his wife Joan, daughter Andrea Davidson, son David T. Legue, stepchildren Christopher and James Bobot, and three grandchildren.

Susan C. Baseheart | BSAC ’80 | 2025 | Baseheart, of Gainesville, Florida, passed on February 20. She graduated from the University of Florida in 1980 with an Accounting degree. Susan was a dedicated mother to her son Richard and a devoted wife to her late husband, Joseph Baseheart. She is also survived by her siblings Donald, Diane, John, and Charles Czepyha. Susan’s family and friends will deeply miss her caring and hardworking spirit.
James F. Carlin | BAA ’61 | 2025 | Carlin, of Natick, Massachusetts, passed on March 1. A celebrated graduate of the University of Florida, he earned his BSBA in accounting in 1961. Over his career, Jim founded and co-founded more than 20 companies and served in key leadership roles, including Chairman of John Hancock Mutual Funds and Secretary of Transportation for Massachusetts. He also made significant contributions to public service, including as Commissioner of Commerce and Receiver of Chelsea, MA, where he helped stabilize the city. Jim’s greatest legacy is his love for his family, including his wife of over 60 years, Brenda, and their three sons and their families.
Cassie L. Gisclair | BSBA ’93; JD ’97 | 2025 | Gisclair, of Tampa, Florida, passed on February 20. A proud graduate of the University of Florida, Cassie earned her undergraduate and law degrees, was a member of Florida Blue Key, and active in Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Cassie had a successful 20-year career as an attorney at Nelson Mullins Law Firm and was known for her love of hosting gatherings, her unwavering loyalty as a Florida Gator and Dallas Cowboy fan, and her passion for spending time at the beach. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Buttermore, and several loved ones, and is remembered for her warmth, hospitality, and infectious smile.
William A. Livert | BSBA ’71 | 2025 | Livert, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed on February 12. Born in Brooklyn, NY, William graduated from the University of Florida with a business degree after serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. He spent several years as a stockbroker on Wall Street before relocating to Charlotte, NC, where he and his wife, Nancy, raised their family for 45 years. In 2022, they moved to Fort Mill, SC, and enjoyed the community at Four Seasons at Gold Hill. William is survived by his wife of 52 years, two children, and three grandsons, and will be remembered for his sharp wit, sense of humor, and deep love for his family.
