It provides basic information needed to develop a plan of study, but is not designed to replace academic advising. Students seeking admission requirements for our degree programs should visit each program section of the website.

Tuesday, October 24, 6:00-8:30pm: Join PwC at the Gainesville Woman’s Club for their Fall Social. This event will be a casino night with gaming tables, food, and drinks. This event is open to all freshmen, sophomore and junior level accounting students, and is a great opportunity to interact with PwC professionals. They hope to see you there! Pre-Register here

Wednesday, October 25, 11:45am-1:30pm: Alison Rand, BSAC ’90, EVP & CFO, Primerica will be speaking in the Alumni Café in Heavener Hall 306 (Lunch Provided). The topic is "Building Your Professional Brand Image for Career Success." Please RSVP.

Wednesday, October 25, 6:15pm: Interested in an accounting internship in Atlanta? Consider HA&W Aprio, a premier CPA led advisory firm. For more than 60 years, HA&W has had the honor of serving their clients, and growing and changing with them. They offer juniors the opportunity to get to know them in the summer of 2018 during their Summer Leadership Conference. Learn more at their Information Session in Gerson Hall-Room 122.

Student Employment: The Fisher School of Accounting is accepting applications for student employment. Duties vary depending on faculty and course, and may include assisting faculty with grading, holding office hours, and answering student emails for undergraduate accounting classes. Applicants must be accounting majors. To apply, fill out the application for student employment.

Accounting Career Student Survey – Universum: Many of the major accounting firms partner with Universum to gain information about students and their career interests. Such surveys also provide information for students and their own career planning. University of Florida students can take this short, 15 minute survey at Universum Career Test.

Backpacking with a Purpose: Operation Groundswell is a non-profit organization that runs international volunteering programs, focusing on social justice issues and working alongside local activists, organizations, and communities. They are looking for globally conscious and socially active students who want to spend their summer exploring some of the most complex and beautiful countries in the world. Financial assistance is available for all students on 40-day programs. Space is limited. For more information, visit Backpacking with a Purpose. Undergraduate Students

Would you like $10,000 to create a positive change this summer? The Brown Center for Leadership and Service will be hosting information sessions about the Projects for Peace grant, sponsored by the Davis Foundation. These sessions will guide undergraduate students through the process of designing a summer project proposal! If interested, please attend on October 20th at 2pm or October 25th at 5pm in Reitz 2106. Full-Time Employment

Florida Auditor General is accepting applications for full-time Auditors in the Gainesville, Lake City, Lakeland, Orlando, and Tallahassee offices.
