PURC International Leadership Course: Adapting Business and Governments to New Realities
March 12 - 16, 2007
University of Florida students studied adaptive leadership and how it can be used to address two interrelated forces that are shaping the future: world energy markets and international terrorism. By studying how international energy businesses address issues of terrorism, students examined how adaptive leadership can be used to help organizations adapt to new realities and shape those realities, all the while developing your own leadership skills.
Case studies, discussions, a group project, and presentations from international business leaders, government officials, and international media on terrorism addressed how countries, organizations, and individuals understand terrorism and respond to it.
This course was offered during spring break to University of Florida students as part of a study abroad program at the Paris Research Center.
