PURC/CLA Executive Development Series for Utility Commissioners: Leadership in Utilities Policy - Adaptive Work for New Realities
February 11, 2006
Washington, DC, USA
Utility commissioners examined a case study in which a regulator confronts the political fallout from a natural gas price increase and must identify the technical and adaptive challenges faced by stakeholders, the press, and politicians as well as for herself. She also must decide how to use her authority role and her leadership role to orchestrate work on the adaptive challenges, all the while staying in the game by not become a victim to resistance that will come.
PURC associates Robert Rowe of Balhoff & Rowe, LLC; Brett Perlman of Vector Advisors; and Robert Gee of Gee Strategies Group LLC assisted in developing and facilitating the workshop.
This program was delivered in partnership with Cambridge Leadership Associates.
