Utility service providers, policymakers and regulatory agencies engaged in dialogue about current issues. Each year, PURC annual conference in Gainesville brings together key leaders in industry and academia, primarily from Florida and the Southeast.

At the conculsion of this conference, a techical workshop was scheduled by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (Proposed Rules for Public Utility Accounting), jointly sponsored by the Center for accounting Research at the University of Florida.
