    Bio

    Soohyun joined the ISOM Ph.D. program in the Fall of 2011. She received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. in Economics from Yonsei University, South Korea. She also holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University. Her current research interests include health information systems and the economics of information systems.

    Bio

    Chao holds a B.S. in Optical Engineering from Sun Yat-sen University and an M.S. in Economics from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Prior to joining the doctoral program, he had work experience in consulting, project management and teaching assistantship. His primary research interests include digital goods, e-Commerce and IS policies.

    Bio

    Vashkar holds a M.S in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida. He has worked as an Assistant System Engineer and has prior experience as a Manufacturing Engineer. His research interest includes Closed Loop Supply Chains, Manufacturing Operations, Product Innovation and Technology Management.

    Bio

    Gulver holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the Istanbul Technical University and received an M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering and a Masters in Statistics from the University of Florida. Prior to entering the doctoral program, she worked as an intern at the Bosch and Siemens House Appliances and at the Pasabahce Glass Company in Turkey. Also, she gained experience in production and cost management by working as a consultant in financial areas in the United States in 2009. Her current research interests include risk management, green supply chain management, inventory theory and capacity planning.

    Bio

    Brent Kitchens is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Information Systems and Operations management at the University of Florida. He holds a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems from the University of Mississippi and worked for five years as Senior Advisory Services Associate in the Risk Advisory Services practice at Ernst & Young LLP. His current research interests include measuring latent constructs through text and data mining, utilizing large scale event studies to understand the value of firm business functions, and evaluating the impact of online marketing activities on boutique firms.

Prior to joining the doctoral program, he had work experience in consulting and education. His current research interests include Economics of Information Systems, Social Network Analysis, and Crowdsourcing.

    Bio

    Yinliang (Ricky) Tan is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Information Systems and Operations management at the University of Florida. Prior to entering the doctoral program, he earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Logistics Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from the Tongji University and a M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from University of Florida. His current research interests include the channel coordination in digital goods supply chain, inventory control and business analytics.

    Bio

    Nazli holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University and a M.E. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from University of Florida. Prior to entering the doctoral program, she worked as an industrial engineering and quality department intern at The Coca-Cola Bottlers of Turkey and Siemens Wiring Technologies and as a part of the Kaizen Team at Oyak-Renault Automotive Systems. Her current research interests include the effects of unknown or unpredictable demands, taxing/government changes, energy savings and environmental regulations on the production and inventory control decisions.

    Bio

    Ruoxuan is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Florida. She holds her Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Tsinghua University. Prior to entering the doctoral program, she worked as an industrial engineering intern at Nissan Motor Corporation at Guangzhou, China. Her research interests encompass the areas of supply chain management, green supply chains and sustainability, capacity planning, outsourcing contracts and supply chain coordination. In her job market paper, Ruoxuan develops different types of outsourcing contracts in the case of a supply chain disruption to effectively coordinate the supply chain.

His current research interests include Supply Chain Cooperation, Service Operations Management and OM-Marketing Interface.
