Michael A. Carroll
Chief Executive Officer
Michael A. Carroll has served as Chief Executive Officer since February 2009 and Director since 2013. From April 2007 through February 2009, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. From March 2005 through April 2007, Mr. Carroll was Executive Vice President, Real Estate Operations of New Plan Excel Realty Trust, Inc., the Company's predecessor, and, from March 2002 to March 2005, was its Senior Vice President, Director of Redevelopment. Between November 1992 and March 2002, Mr. Carroll held various positions of increasing seniority at New Plan Excel Realty Trust, Inc., including Vice President, Asset Management; Vice President, Leasing and Senior Vice President, Director of Redevelopment. Mr. Carroll received a B.S.B.A. from Bowling Green State University and an M.B.A. from The University of Toledo.
Executive Managing Director, Miami
Mr. de Zárraga is an Executive Managing Director in the Miami office of HFF with more than 25 years of experience in real estate investment banking. Mr. de Zárraga leads the Firm's national special assets group and served as a member of the firm's national operating committee between 2003 and 2009. He is responsible for the execution and expansion of the firm's capital markets platform representing institutional and major private owners of institutional-grade commercial real estate, multi-housing, hotel and development properties in the Southeast. Since joining HFF, Mr. de Zárraga has been involved in more than $13 billion of capital markets transaction volume.
Stifel, Nicolaus & Co., Inc.
John W. Guinee III is a Managing Director and member of the REIT equity research team of Stifel, Nicolaus & Co., Inc. He joined the research team in connection with its acquisition of Legg Mason's capital markets group in December of 2005.
He has an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a B.A. in economics from the University of Virginia.
President and Chief Executive Officer
Jim was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of Parkway in December 2011 and served as Executive Chairman of the Company just prior to his current role. Jim joined Parkway through a combination with Eola Capital and founded Eola Capital in 2000 and served as chairman since its inception. Eola acquired $1.3 billion of office assets backed by PSP, GE Capital, Lehman Brothers and others that included 13.3 million square feet in Florida, Atlanta and Virginia.
Chief Credit Officer
Starwood Mortgage Capital
Mr. Highfield is SMC’s Chief Credit Officer responsible for risk management and underwriting. Prior to joining SMC, Mr. Highfield was a Director at BlackRock Solutions. He served as project lead or co-lead on the valuation and risk assessment of two government agency commercial real estate debt portfolios totaling over $50 billion and over 35,000 positions. He also worked as a senior member of teams engaged to perform acquisition due diligence. Prior to joining BRS, Mr. Highfield was an Executive VP at David L. Bonuccelli & Associates, an advisory firm that worked with clients such as the California State Teachers’ Retirement System and the CA Public Employees’ Retirement System. Mr. Highfield received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Florida.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mori Hosseini is the Chairman and CEO of ICI Homes, one of Florida's largest residential homebuilder/developers. Born in Iran, Mr. Hosseini was primarily educated in London, England, where he received a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Chelsea College of Aeronautical Engineering. He then attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he received both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical Studies and Master of Business Administration.
Chief Economist and Director of Consulting
Brad Hunter directs Metrostudy's consulting work nationwide. He and his team complete more than 200 market studies each year. Metrostudy's unmatched supply/demand database provides the quantitative foundation for their consulting and advisory work.
He graduated in 1985 from the Wharton School, and has been a guest lecturer at Harvard University.

As the CEO of Kolter, Bobby is responsible for the firm's overall strategy as well as for support of the portfolio company leaders in the development of their sector-specific strategies. Bobby has directed the firm's growth and been involved with all facets of the acquisition, financing, development, sales & marketing, and disposition, of over $10 billion of expected transaction value (both in-development and realized) of residential, commercial and hospitality-focused transactions throughout the Southeastern United States and elsewhere in North America. Bobby serves as Chairman of the Foundation Board, as well as Vice-President of the Operational Board, of the Achievement Centers for Children & Families in Delray Beach, Florida. Bobby attended McGill University, where he studied business.
Chris Leinberger is a land use strategist, professor, developer, researcher and author, balancing business realities with social and environmental concerns. President of Locus; Responsible Real Estate Developers and Investors; The Charles Bendit Distinguished Scholar and Research Professor; George Washington University School of Business; Nonresident Senior Fellow at Brookings Institution in Washington DC; Founding Partner of Arcadia Land Company, a New Urbanism and transit- oriented development firm. His most recent book is The Option of Urbanism, Investing in a New American Dream. He is the author of Strategic Planning for Real Estate Companies and has contributed chapters to 12 other books. Leinberger is a graduate of Swarthmore College and the Harvard Business School and lives in Dupont Circle in Washington, DC.

Brendan Maiorana is a Senior Equity Analyst at Wells Fargo Securities where he focuses on the Office and Industrial segment of the Commercial Real Estate sector. Brendan has been recognized for his stock picking and investment analysis in multiple investor surveys throughout his career. Brendan joined Wells Fargo in 2005 as a member of the Commercial Real Estate Securities Research team. Previously, he was a research associate at Hibernia Southcoast Capital (currently CapitalOne Southcoast); and he began his career at Ernst & Young, LLP. Brendan holds a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina. He has held the CFA designation since 2005 and is a member of the Baltimore CFA Society.
Senior Vice President
Senior Vice President and in charge of Commercial Real Estate Lending for BB&T’s Gulf Coast Region. Before transferring to Florida to run the Gulf Coast CRE division James was a top-producing CRE lender for BB&T in the Atlanta market for 7 years where he was instrumental in growing the Atlanta CRE portfolio to its peak of $1.3 billion. Prior to joining BB&T in 2005, James held positions in retail banking, private banking, and commercial bankings. James has also acted as a managing member of various family partnerships/real estate holding companies. James has been an industry expert panelist or guest speaker for multiple hospitality, retail, multi-family, and student housing real estate industry conferences across the southeast.
Managing Director, Head of U.S. REIT Equity Research
Mr. Nussbaum is a Managing Director at UBS AG, where he heads the U.S. REIT Equities Research team. He is widely recognized as one of the leading analysts in the REIT industry, having been named to the Institutional Investor All America Equity Research Team on multiple occasions.
Prior to joining UBS, Ross was a Managing Director in Merrill Lynch’s Real Estate Investment Banking group. He previously spent eight years with Citigroup and PaineWebber as a Research Analyst.
Ross has a B.A. from Colby College and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business, where he has been a guest lecturer. He is a member of the NYU REIT Advisory Board and the NAREIT Best Financial Practices Council.
Dennis D. "Denny" Oklak
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Dennis (Denny) D. Oklak is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Duke Realty Corporation. He also serves as head of the company's Executive Committee, which oversees the strategic direction of the company, and the Investment Committee, which has responsibility for approving major capital transactions. Mr. Oklak became Chief Executive Officer in 2004, after one year as President and Chief Operating Officer. He joined Duke Realty in 1986 and has served in various management roles throughout the company.
Denny serves on the Board of Trustees of the Urban Land Institute and the Executive Board of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, and is a member of The Real Estate Roundtable. His civic involvement includes serving as co-chair of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership and the Dean's Executive Advisory Board of Ball State University's Miller College of Business.
Jonathan H. Paul
Jonathan H. Paul is a founding partner of Wheelock Street Capital LLC, a real estate private equity firm that pursues a highly focused, value-oriented investment strategy. Mr. Paul has over 21 years of real estate experience with all asset classes including hotel, office, industrial, retail, multifamily, residential land and condominiums, as well as golf and other leisure assets.
Prior to co-founding Wheelock, Mr. Paul spent 18 years in the real estate private equity space, having played a key role in the creation and management of three major investment businesses. He was most recently a Managing Member of Rockpoint Group LLC, which manages over $5 billion in equity capital through five real estate opportunity funds.

Paula J. Poskon

Paula Poskon is Baird's senior analyst covering Real Estate – Multi-Family, Student & Manufactured Housing, and Self-Storage. Prior to joining Baird in 2005, she worked for five years at Lehman Brothers in both investment banking and equity research. In 2012, she was recognized by StarMine as the No. 2 stock picker in Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). In 2009, she was named among the "Best on the Street" in the Wall Street Journal survey, ranking No. 3 in Real Estate. Paula received both her BS in Economics and Accounting and her MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Errict Rhett was born in Pembroke Pines, Florida and is a former football player who was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2nd round of the 1994 NFL Draft. A 5'11", 211 lbs. running back selected in the second round (34th pick overall) from the University of Florida. Rhett played in 7 NFL seasons, from 1994-2000. During his rookie campaign with Tampa Bay, he rushed for 1,011 yards and 7 touchdowns. Rhett had a career year the following season when he rushed for 1,207 yards and 11 touchdowns.
After his playing career ended in 2000, Errict returned to South Florida and started Errict Rhett Custom Homes and the Errict Rhett Foundation.

John A. Williams is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Preferred Apartment Communities, Inc. Lawrence Wright is the Founder/President and CEO of Lawrence Wright & Partners, LLC, Lawrence Wright Energy Group, LLC & Production Construction located in Miami, Florida. Lawrence has embarked on a journey to create a world of difference for its clients, alliances and investors.
Mr. Wright thrives on a love for Athletic achievement and as Co-Captain of the 1996-97 University of Florida Gators, he and his team led the SEC and became the first Gator National Championship team. Shawn A. Thomas D. Zale has over 20 years of experience in real estate appraisal, finance and investment, including 15 years with Northwestern Mutual. As Managing Director – Real Estate Equities, Tom is responsible for the composition, management and growth of the $7 billion real estate portfolio. Portfolio growth is achieved primarily through development and acquisition of apartment, industrial, office, and retail properties on a wholly - owned or joint venture basis. Tom is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison where he earned a BBA degree in real estate and economics in 1988, as well as a MS degree in real estate and finance in 1995.
